How to reach the Placid

By car - plan your route now

Follow the A1 motorway in the direction of Zurich and take the "Zürich-Altstetten" exit. Stay on Bernstrasse Süd and follow the signs marked "Altstetten". Make two right turns and follow the circular road leading to the Europabrücke bridge. Here, turn right at the traffic lights. Follow the Europabrücke bridge (approx. 500 m) and continue onto Luggwegstrasse (approx. 230 m) until it crosses Badenerstrasse. Turn left here. After approx. 450 m, turn right into Flurstrasse and after another 100 m, right again into Buckhauserstrasse. After 75 m, turn left once more and you have reached your destination.

By public transport - plan your route now

From Zurich main station, take the suburban railway ("S-Bahn"), fast train ("IR") or regional train ("RE") to Zürich-Altstetten station.
Trains depart every five minutes. At Altstetten station, the underpass on the left in the direction of travel, leading southwards, takes you to the bus station. Here, take bus no. 83 in the direction of Milchbuck or bus no. 89 in the direction of Sihlcity, disembarking at the stop "Zurich Kappeli". From here, the hotel is 5 minutes on foot: follow Flurstrasse to the south-west and turn right into Buckhauserstrasse.

By plane - Zurich Airport information

Zurich's international Kloten Airport is 11 kilometres from the Placid Hotel. You can reach the hotel in 20 minutes by car. The suburban railway ("S-Bahn") takes 23 minutes to reach Altstetten station; from here, see the directions under "arrival by public transport".

Airport shuttle - CHECK-IN all-ways

The airport shuttle "CHECK-IN all-ways" is the official hotel shuttle bus service of Zurich Airport and runs every 30 minutes from the Airport Zurich Kloten.

NO RESERVATION is required for the transport to the hotel. Just go to the bus stop, get in, give the hotel name and pay for the transfer.
